Lowing Saturation Sets an Emo Mood

Adjusting the saturation levels adds a level of sophistication to certain photos and can set different calming/dark mood. See through each photo the difference as each progressively is lower in saturation and vibrancy. I find photos with one dominating hue work best with this effect. In these three photos the dominating colour was obsviously pink.

Old Toronto Zoo Photos

, originally uploaded by Samantha_Tan.
During the next few days I will be posting a few Toronto Zoo wildlife photos. Took them when I was 15 using my Minolta XD7 and X700 film cameras. (Minolta XD7 film, 200mm lens) Back not only did I have the 2 Minolta cameras, but a 3yr Metro Toronto Zoo membership, over 10 rolls of film, 80-200mm telephoto lens, 28-85 wide angle, 500mm intense zoom lens, Costco Film Development coupons, and a lot of water...hopefully got a few decent shots back then. You be the judge.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

Just discovered Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.3...I love it. All the features of Adobe CS2, but simplified and narrowed down to the basic functions needed in photo post-production. ...One con however, with Photoshop Lightroom, is that the clone tool, I find, isn't detailed and easy to use as CS2. One can always use the clone tool for touch ups, I know my friends love it when I post photos of them;)
I will continue to use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, as I have learned a lot of the Flickr pros are now, because in all....it allows you to get more from the photos than messing around with all the complicated functions of CS2
